Overview

Southminster School was founded in 1990 by Southminster Presbyterian Church as the Early Learning Center. Our preschool program now educates over 100 children from 18 months of age to four years old. Our dedicated teaching staff is well-versed in child development strategies and protocol.

Our program seizes upon a child's natural curiosity and interests to build a strong educational foundation in a fun, positive, age-appropriate, Christian environment. The students are provided with opportunities for multi-sensory enrichment that address different abilities and learning styles. Low student to teacher ratios, which are below the expected State of Texas requirements, ensure a safe and nurturing environment. In addition to classroom activities, children also attend Music and Movement classes daily, and Chapel on Tuesday-Friday. Enriching theme-based days are built into each month to subsidise curriculum. Such days include Rodeo Day, Winter Fest, and Splash Day.
