Elementary After School Programs

Southminster School works hard to provide a variety of after school enrichment programs that appeal to our diverse student population. Classes typically register for Fall and Spring courses and vary by instructor availability and the level of student interest.

Should you have any questions regarding after school programming details, please contact Sarah Musick.

  • Karate

Karate has been a long-time offering at Southminster School and Master Williams does a fantastic job training his students beginning as young as Pre-Kindergarten!

  • Ensemble Choir

Gabriele Hodges, our school music teacher, has lead our Ensemble Choir through numerous ACSI competition wins in its 12 years. Students practice weekly for performances at retirement homes, area functions, and even singing the National Anthem at the Sugar Land Skeeters games!

  • Idea Lab

Idea Lab is a new offering this year! The on-site class challenges students to think, manipulate, and create using higher-order thinking skills and knowledge of S.T.E.A.M. (science. technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) concepts.

  • Sewing

Students of all ages and abilities loving attending Ms. Donna's sewing class! She has machines that students can use to create masterpieces from patterns, as well as adorable "no-sew" projects for beginners to take interest in the craft!

  • Yoga

Our yoga program is available for elementary students from Pre-K through 2nd grade only. Students will work on poses and, weather permitting, will take their practice outdoors!
